Our behaviour policy promotes positive behaviour and is underpinned with a Relation Practice approach.

It ensures there are:

  • Clear, consistent, high expectations of every child.
  • Rules which are clear and reinforced.
  • Reward systems encouraging good behaviour.
  • Sanctions for misbehaviour.

At the same time as all of the above, we absolutely understand that for some children, often those with an additional need, a normal school routine/timetable/curriculum will need to be adapted in order for them to thrive too. The cause of any misbehaviour will always be looked into, understood and ‘drilled down on’, but we will never make an excuse for poor behaviour and will always look to improve. If we didn’t, we would be setting our children up to fail in the long-term.
